MedlinePlus Goes Mobile
For many years, MedlnePlus from the National Library of Medicine (think of it as a consumer version of Medline/PubMed) has been our primary site for health information. It’s well organized, they have a published criteria of what is and is not listed, and new/updated material is always being added. If it’s not your primary health info site it definitely should be on your list of reliable health info resources.
Now, MedlinePlus has gone mobile. Mobile MedlinePlus can be accessed at: http://m.medlineplus.gov/
From this point users can
+ Keyword search and get back results from the MedlinePlus database.
+ Browse or Search “Health Topic” Pages
+ Browse or Search Drug Info
+ Browse and Read Health-Related News Headlines
While it doesn’t have all the bells, whistles, and resources of the main web site, Mobile Medline Plus is a resource that you’ll be happy to have nearby, all the times.
